3.22.2010 Apple Valley Residence Published and Cover on Architectural Minnesota May June 2010.
The Apple Valley Residence (Farquar Lake Residence) will be featured in the upcoming May June issue of Architecture Minnesota magazine, featuring the best in residential architecture for the year. This issue is typically the largest seller for the magazine (up to 60% of the magazine's annual sales) and features the AIA firm directory for 2010. We are honored to be in the issue and on the cover. Look for the issue on newsstands in mid-April 2010.

4.15.2009  ALTUS Wins Two 2009 AIA MN RAVE Awards
AIA Minnesota and Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine have awarded ALTUS Architecture + Design two 2009 RAVE (Residential Architects Vision and Excellence) Awards for the Minnetonka Residence and the Apple Valley Residence.

4.2.2009  ALTUS Open House Announcement
ALTUS Architecture + Design will be having an open house on Saturday, April 25th from 1pm to 4 pm.  Please stop by the office at 1609 Hennepin Avenue, across from the Basilica of St. Mary to celebrate what has been a remarkable string of honors.

3.18.2009  ALTUS Wins Two 'Home of the Month' Awards
AIA Minnesota and the Star Tribune announce the Apple Valley Residence and the Minnetonka Residence by ALTUS Architecture + Design in the Home of the Month program.  The Home of the Month program seeks to educate the public on the value architects can bring to a home building process.  The selection panel sought projects that conveyed a unique and valued design solution, gauging how they reflect the owners' vision of home.

2.5.2009  T.A. Alt Awarded 2009 Architect of Distinction

11.13.2008  Mayo Plan No. 1 Receives AIA MN Honor Award

The White Bear Lake Residence will be on the 'Homes By Architects Tour', Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21.  The tour features 29 homes, all designed by licensed architects.

6.21.2008  ALTUS receives Three 2008 AIA-RAVE Awards
ALTUS Architecture + Design received AIA-RAVE awards for the White Bear Lake Residence, the Uptown Loft and the Prairie House No. 2.  The RAVE Awards (Residential Architects Vision and Excellence) are done in collaboration with Mpls St. Paul Magazine and the AIA.

2.23.2008  Congratulations, again!
Chad and Kristina Healy have made the world that much cuter by bringing Brennan Robert Healy into it on February 22nd, 2008.  He was born 7 lbs 8 oz and 20" long.  Photos will be added as soon as we can get Chad to share.

12.21.2007  ALTUS collaborating with PDI World Group
ALTUS Architecture + Design has begun collaborating with PDI World Group, an architectural consortium competing on a global scale.  Along with several other local firms, PDI will present ALTUS with the opportunity to address projects around the world.  We look forward to the unique challenges and experience each location will have to offer.

10.1.2007  Congratulations
Sarah Salo Hughes and Mark Salo would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Lilah Irene.  Lilah was born on September 30th, 2007, weighing in at 7lbs. 5oz., and 21" long.  She has already displayed a great aptitude for making everyone in the office make funny 'cooing' noises.  See some of the photos here, and understand why.

9.5.2005  Mayo Woodlands Open Houses and Book Signing Sept. 17th
On Saturday, September 17th there will be Open Houses at three of the Mayo Woodlands residences in Rochester, MN.  The houses will be open from Noon until 5pm, with a book signing by David Salmela from 1-2pm of his new book, Salmela|Architect written by Tom Fisher.
