3.27.2008 White Bear Lake Residence receives 2008 AIA 'Home of the Month' Honors
The White Bear Lake Residence was selected as one of the Minnesota AIA and Star Tribune's 2008 'Home of the Month' recipients. The award announcement by AIA Minnesota can be found here.

2.23.2008 Congratulations, again!
Chad and Kristina Healy have made the world that much cuter by bringing Brennan Robert Healy into it on February 22nd, 2008. He was born 7 lbs 8 oz and 20" long. Photos will be added as soon as we can get Chad to share.

12.21.2007 ALTUS collaborating with PDI World Group
ALTUS Architecture + Design has begun collaborating with PDI World Group, an architectural consortium competing on a global scale. Along with several other local firms such as Julie Snow Architects, KKE, and Conway + Schulte Architects, PDI will present ALTUS with the opportunity to address projects around the world. We look forward to the unique challenges and experience each location will have to offer.

10.01.2007 Congratulations
Sarah Salo Hughes and Mark Salo would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Lilah Irene. Lilah was born on September 30th, 2007, weighing in at 7lbs. 5oz., and 21" long. She has already displayed a great aptitude for making everyone in the office make funny 'cooing' noises. See some of the photos here, and understand why.

05.01.2007 Carl Olson returns full time
After spending the last three years working part time while attending the University of Minnesota's College of Design, Carl Olson has received his Masters of Architecture degree and will return to ALTUS full time. Carl received a thesis award for his master's thesis on urban agriculture- 'Plant Squared: An Urban Farm' which can be seen here.

Thursday, September 28th at 7:00 pm, Tim Alt, Shane Coen, Thom Fisher and David Salmela will be the featured speakers at Drawn Here: Contemporary Design in Conversation in the Cinema at the Walker. The Walker Art Center is located at 1750 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, MN and free tickets will be available from 6pm at the Bazinet Garden Lobby desk. We at ALTUS Architecture + Design, along with Salmela Architect and coen + partners would like to thank everyone who came to see the Open Houses Presentation in Rochester. 9.05.2005 Mayo Woodlands Open Houses and Book Signing Sept. 17th
On Saturday, September 17th there will be Open Houses at three of the Mayo Woodlands residences in Rochester, MN. The houses will be open from Noon until 5pm, with a book signing by David Salmela from 1-2pm of his new book, Salmela|Architect written by Tom Fisher. Tim and Chad will be presenting the Dalseth Family Dental Clinic at the March AIA Chapter Luncheon Thursday, March 17th. As one of four award winning projects selected to be presented, presentations will also be given by Joan Soranno, AIA of HGA, Garth Rockcastle, FAIA, of MS&R and Connie Linder, of Julie Snow Architect.
